SAFETY

Important Safety Information

Every program on this site is prescription-only. A licensed provider reviews your medical history during an online visit and decides whether a treatment is appropriate for you. Oh My Body Studio provides no medical services.

Before you start

  • Tell your provider about every medication, supplement, allergy and medical condition, including pregnancy, plans to become pregnant, and breastfeeding.
  • Programs are for adults 18 and over.
  • Do not share prescription medication with anyone else.

Compounded medications

Some programs include compounded medications prepared by a licensed US pharmacy for an individual patient. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. Your provider will discuss FDA-approved alternatives where they exist.

GLP-1 and GLP-1 + GIP medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide)

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain. Tell your provider about any personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2, pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney problems, diabetic retinopathy, or use of insulin or other diabetes medications. Seek care immediately for severe stomach pain, signs of an allergic reaction, or symptoms of low blood sugar.

Hormone therapy (estradiol, progesterone, Biest)

Tell your provider about any history of breast or uterine cancer, blood clots, stroke, heart disease, liver disease or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Estrogen with or without progesterone carries risks that your provider will discuss with you.

Peptides and injectables (NAD+, sermorelin, glutathione, PT-141, GHK-Cu, KLOW)

Side effects can include injection-site reactions, flushing, nausea and headache. PT-141 may raise blood pressure temporarily; tell your provider about any heart or blood pressure condition. Evidence for many compounded peptides in people is limited.

Hair and skin (minoxidil, finasteride, retinoic acid, spironolactone, GHK-Cu)

Finasteride, oral or topical, is not for use by anyone who is or may become pregnant. Retinoic acid can cause dryness, peeling and sun sensitivity. Spironolactone can affect potassium levels and blood pressure and is not for use in pregnancy. Topicals are for external use only.

Emergencies

If you experience a severe reaction, difficulty breathing, chest pain or swelling of the face or throat, call 911. For non-urgent questions, message your provider in the patient portal.
